That's why you can choose from 40+ fabrics and leathers, and why we don't add warehouse costs to the price. This also helps us minimise waste and ensures every piece is made with intention.

The Womb-inspired Chair is mid-century's most famous embrace: the legendary 1940s lounge chair designed in answer to a request for "a chair like a basket full of pillows" — and delivered as a sculpted sanctuary the world never left.

Inspired by the celebrated original, the chair's enveloping shell invites postures conventional seats forbid: curl sideways, tuck legs up, nest completely. Its organic curves cradle while its slim steel base keeps the generous form floating light.

A moulded shell, layered foam and quality upholstery over a polished base deliver the icon's precise comfort with daily durability.

Give it a window or fireside corner, add the matching ottoman for full sanctuary, and accept its permanent occupancy. The hug, in production since 1948.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order — we work hard to keep these as competitive as possible.

Larger items are shipped via pallet freight and delivered to kerbside — the courier will bring your order to your doorstep, garage, or the nearest accessible entrance point. Please note that for insurance reasons, couriers are unable to enter your home or assist with unloading and unpacking. We recommend having a helping hand ready on delivery day. Pallet freight services don't typically offer timed delivery slots or parcel-style tracking. An EORI number may be required for customs clearance.

EU and international orders may be subject to VAT or other local charges. These fees must be paid to release your goods from customs. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict or refund these amounts.

RETURNS

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you need to return an item, it must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging. Returns that don't meet these conditions may affect your eligibility for a full refund.

Please note that Made-to-Order items — those produced in a specific finish, colour, or fabric to your specifications — cannot be returned.
