Dana’s idea was born in 1970 during a trip to Japan, when the designers decided to climb Mount Fuji-Yama and one evening, during a stop in a traditional Japanese inn, they were lucky enough to see the full moon rise and pass over the top of the mountain: hence the intuition to create a lamp with large luminous spheres that seem to rise towards the sky.
