The Capitol-inspired Dining Chair is the armless workhorse of the Chandigarh-inspired collection: solid wood, hand-woven cane and the iconic V-shaped compass legs, in a format that tucks neatly under any dining table.
Inspired by the celebrated 1950s modernist furniture of Chandigarh, India, the chair's graphic geometry is softened by its natural materials — warm timber and breathable woven cane that stays comfortable through the longest dinners and only improves with age.
Traditional joinery and quality hardwood construction make it a genuine everyday dining chair, robust enough for daily family use while carrying the presence of one of the twentieth century's most collected designs.
Line up four or six along a wooden or stone-topped table, mix with Capitol dining armchairs at the ends, or use singles as striking occasional and desk chairs around the home.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order — we work hard to keep these as competitive as possible.
Larger items are shipped via pallet freight and delivered to kerbside — the courier will bring your order to your doorstep, garage, or the nearest accessible entrance point. Please note that for insurance reasons, couriers are unable to enter your home or assist with unloading and unpacking. We recommend having a helping hand ready on delivery day. Pallet freight services don't typically offer timed delivery slots or parcel-style tracking. An EORI number may be required for customs clearance.
EU and international orders may be subject to VAT or other local charges. These fees must be paid to release your goods from customs. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict or refund these amounts.
RETURNS
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you need to return an item, it must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging. Returns that don't meet these conditions may affect your eligibility for a full refund.
Please note that Made-to-Order items — those produced in a specific finish, colour, or fabric to your specifications — cannot be returned.
