Achille & Pier Castiglioni Inspired
The Taccia-inspired Table Lamp is one of Italian lighting's grand masterpieces: a fluted sculptural base supporting a bowl-like glass diffuser that appears to rest freely on top, casting rich, reflected light with theatrical elegance.
Inspired by a celebrated early-1960s design, the concept is ingenious — light projects upward from the base into the curved diffuser, which spreads it outward in a warm, glare-free glow. The tilting bowl can be angled to direct the light, making the lamp interactive as well as iconic.
Substantial materials — a finely detailed column base and quality glass-style diffuser — give the lamp its commanding, architectural presence.
Place it on a console, sideboard or generous desk where it can perform as both light source and sculpture. Few table lamps carry this much design history; fewer still wear it this gracefully.
